Courtney's week 'o birthday continued today with her ACTUAL day of birth. Last night we went out to dinner with all the teachers and ended up at a bar where thanks to knowing one of the owners -- and being foreign -- we were afforded free beer.
Today, Courtney had one of her sophomore classes over for an American lunch. We (mainly Courtney) cooked spaghetti, tons of salads, garlic bread and bruschetta for 35 students. The students brought a HUGE cake, which easily disappeared. Then a 13-year-old's birthday party broke out. Half the class chased each other around our apartment smearing frosting on each other's faces while giggling and screaming.
Tonight we leave for Shanghai and we're back on Monday.
Birthday cards are tough to come by here, so I googled "Happy Birthday Courtney."
