This weekend I was going through some old issues of Esquire and re-ran across this profile of Guy Ritchie. In the profile, we learn that Ritchie enjoys Brazilian Jujitsu, disobeying traffic rules and passionately prefers marmalade to jam. The comedic highlight comes when, over a series of pints, Ritchie explains why marmalade is far superior to jam. Through the profile, he also provides two of the three rules he's learned in life:
1. You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable
2. It's okay to have beliefs, just don't believe in them.
As for the third, Ritchie turns off the reporter's recorder before sharing the third. If you get a spare second, it's worth a read -- definitely one of the better profiles I've read recently.
