If you're able to see this posting, that means it's 5 p.m. on Thursday, which means I've officially begun the first set of furlough days. During the next 11 month I'll have 22 more days of tax-free days off. On Friday, I'm thinking we'll check out a matinee before noon, or go for a bike ride. Maybe try to catch a baseball game or do something else. Either way, I'm sitting on a bus right now, headed for home. It's time to taste the fruits and let the juice run down my chin -- nevermind the fact it's a 9.4 percent -- tax free -- pay cut.
