When we were outside Cahuita and Manzanillo, we went on a few hikes in the jungle. We walked just inside the treeline and found thousands of land crabs, a sloth, monkeys, colorful butterflies and all kinds of interesting plants and coral. I went a little crazy with the macro setting on my camera since a lot of the leaves were unlike any I'd ever seen before. I often say that one of my favorite things about traveling is that your senses get turned up to 11 -- new smells, sounds, etc -- and those two hikes were a perfect example.
