Today is Oct. 30. Christmas is less than two months away. I realized this fact today in a Borders on my lunch break. While browsing the History section, I suddenly became aware of the music being piped into the store. Aretha Franklin singing the Christmas Classics -- in October. Apparently the way to handle a lagging economy is to just move the spending clock up a bit. The weather still hasn't gotten cold out here, so it hasn't felt like Christmas is on the way. But the Aretha Franklin got me thinking, Christmas is coming. That means only one thing:
