I haven't blogged much in the past few weeks. Courtney started school the day after Labor Day. State started school and we've been trying to figure out our schedules and how we're actually going to get to see one another this semester. Fall is a spectacular time to be in California. There's plenty going on and lots to see. During Labor Day weekend we headed up to Tahoe and camped for a few days. The wind kept us from getting out on the boat, but it was good to get out of the city and to see Amber and Randy for a few days.
Last weekend we met up with Alex and Rachel, good friends from Omaha who both went to Millard North and just moved out here about a month ago. We watched the Nebraska/San Jose State with a bar-full of Husker fans in the Marina District, then went to a Giants game that night. The tickets came from Alex's company, so we walked up to the gate -- to secure our own Bengie Molina bobblehead -- and were redirected to the suite entrance. I've been in plenty of press boxes, but the suite had its own leather couches, food and even a computer with Internet access -- instantly making it both larger and better furnished than our apartment. Even Courtney enjoyed baseball that night.
